Wednesday, October 17: Support Orange County Animal Shelter opening a “second chance” room

Pet owners and advocates:

If you reside in Orange County please attend the Orange County Animal Services Advisory Board meeting this Wednesday, October 17th at 6:30 PM if you would like to show support for the shelter opening up a second chance colony room for the shelter cats that have not been adopted and are at risk for euthanasia.

At their last meeting in August, Board members were provided a packet of info on colony or communal rooms compiled from the major animal welfare organizations for them to study and make an informed position on this issue. As you know, citizens showing up to express their support is crucial in advancing change that is best for the animals, certainly in this case. Let’s urge the OC shelter to be even better.

So, if you happen to have some spare time tomorrow, it would be great if you could go to the Orange County Animal Services Board meeting at 6:30 PM.  Here are details:
